LOCAL ELECTIONS MATTER
The decisions of mayors, township supervisors, school boards, and council members (who are elected by the people) impact your life in a more immediate and direct way than decisions coming out of Washington D.C. Local officials direct the day-to-day operations of schools, parks, libraries and infrastructures around the city among other issues like where taxpayer money is allocated.
Unfortunately, U.S. citizens are notorious for staying at home rather than heading to the polls in local and state elections. This decision is largely based on the lack of coverage on these elections. If you don't know who is running then why get out and vote, right? That's where the UHVA comes in.

We've got you covered! Following our fact-finding Endorsement Sessions and careful deliberation, the United Hellenic Voters of America Board of Directors has compiled its lists of endorsed candidates.
Our endorsements are based on each candidate’s qualifications, commitment to public service, and support for the Greek-American community and its interests—regardless of party affiliation.
We thank every candidate who participated in our Endorsement Sessions or reached out to UHVA to share their platform and introduce themselves to our community. These decisions are not always easy, and we appreciate the time and effort of every candidate who engaged in our process.
